RIP Casey Kasem (1932-2014)

Radio legend and voice of Shaggy and Robin, Casey Kasem, has died today at the age of 82. One time, he accidentally cussed in the background while playing music on a dead dog dedication request during his radio show America's Top 40. Kasem suffered from Parkinson's disease and dementia. He leaves behind his wife Jean and his three children. The No. 1 song on July 4, 1970 was "Mama Told Me Not To Come" by Three Dog Night.

So long Casey, Scooby Doo and Batman will miss you.

Vortexx Cancelled, Replaced by a syndicated children's block

Sad to say but the Vortexx on the CW is cancelled and now being replaced with a low budget syndicated block created by Litton Entertainment. This is not official from Saban Brands, but was announced by the CBS Television Distribution.

Digimon Fusion and Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal will still continue to run on Nicktoons. Toonami announced that they will run DBZ Kai which will likely replace Bleach after it's finished.

The era of TV we already seeing is being replaced with online streaming. So the sweet golden memories of SATAM from the 60s to today is long gone and buried. I don't know if CN is going to run Sonic X since they are going to start broadcasting the CGI, Sonic Boom this Fall.

RIP SATAM TV  (1964-2014)
