Reuters (cannot link the article because it's paywalled) reported that Soby is in n talks to acquire Kadokawa manga publisher that is known for anime like Oshi No Ko And Highschool DxD. Kadokawa owns Yen Press l, which means more censorship and more woke content, which Japanese Otakus have no interest in that trash. Furthermore, this acquisition will be a deathblow to Sentai Filmworks, the owner of HiDive and it's FAST (Free Ad-supported Television) channel Anime X HiDive, because Sentai has the license to some of Kadokawa's properties. And since Kadokawa owns Anime News Network, Sony is likely to shut it down and move ANN's news content to Crunchyroll. The only alternative is Bounding into Comics.
